Tekno, Mr Eazi, Nasty C, Davido and Wizkid have all been nominated alongside three other hot African artist for the 2017 BET Awards in the category of “Best International Act: Africa”.

The nominee with the highest nominations for this year’s BET Awards is Beyoncé with a total of seven nominations, closely behind her is Bruno Mars with five nods, then followed by Chance the Rapper, Solange and Migos tied at four nods each. READ more after the cut…

Beyoncé seven nominations include best female R&B/pop artist (vying against sister Solange), best collaboration (with Kendrick Lamar on “Freedom”), album of the year and video of the year.

While Bruno Mars nominations include album of the year and video of the year, nabbed a nomination as well for best male R&B/pop artist.

And Migos nominations include best group and best collaboration for “Bad and Bougee” with Lil Uzi Vert.

Chance the Rapper who is nominated for “Best Male Hip-hop Artist”, is also in the same category with Young M.A, Khalid, 21 Savage and Cardi B for the “Best New Artist”.

Meanwhile eight hot african artist are going head-on-head for the category of “Best International Act: Africa”. These artist include:

The BET Awards will also recognize achievements in film, television, sports and international music acts across more than 19 categories.

In the BET Awards 17th year, it will be aired live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles by 8p.m. ET, come June 25, 2017. The awards ceremony will cap off the annual BET Experience at L.A. Live in Los Angeles from June 22-25.
