Femi Kuti Nigerian afrobeats legend was reported to have broken the World Record last week for “the longest continuous note on a saxophone using the circular breathing method” as he played his saxophone for 46mins 38secs.
However, the celebration was found out to have occured before the proper time due to a man by the name Van Burchfield from the USA had played for 47 minutes. READ more after the cut…
The afrobeat legend, Femi however went ahead to prove to all that he is truly a legend at what he does best, as he has broken Van Burchfield record to become the World record holder for “the longest continuous note on a saxophone using the circular breathing method”. He took to his Twitter page (@femiakuti) to announce the new record of 51mins 38secs 83mili secs:
